Head Over Heels {3}

If you watched my latest haul, you'll know that I have this obsession for neons and spiked accessories - two trends I never imagined myself wearing, but somehow I've come to love them. And dressing in all black? It's not something I do often yet I love how it makes the neon pop in this case. So, after a few weeks of not wearing heels, I slipped on a pair yesterday (oops! wore them in this post too!). I have to say I love this outfit. I can see myself wearing it again and again this summer.

As for the makeup, this is something new to me too... wearing pale pink lipstick that is! It has become one of my everyday makeup looks and I might just need to film a tutorial to show you all soon! Down below, I added an instagram photo to help you see the makeup a bit better (I hope!).

Head Over Heels {1}

A few weeks ago, I challenged myself to wear to heels once in a while - or once a week at best - just for fun and to feel all nice and dolled up. This time around, I spent so much time pulling different dresses from my closet to go with my new Aldo heels. I tried on my final picks (over and over again) until I decided that I just didn't feel like wearing a dress. Luckily, the sun was out and it was the perfect weather for shorts. I paired cream-colored shorts and loose nude top with my new heels. I rarely wear shorts with heels and I think that made this look even more fun. And the best part of this outfit was that I felt so comfortable! Bonus points!

This Saturday marked something new for me. I've recently decided to embark on a new adventure to find my inner fashionista - not just get out of pjs and into jeans, but to REALLY get dolled up! Even though I like the mom clothes, I don't mind getting in heels once or twice a week. So, this Saturday, I put on a top knot, some clothes that made me feel pretty, and neglected pumps. Carter couldn't join me in the pictures because he was too busy running around and it seems there isn't any shutter speed that is fast enough to catch him. That night, we headed out to celebrate a few birthdays over at Kyle's parents' house and ended up just hanging out with the family and watching movies!

I woke up today to a foggy sky and was initially disappointed and kind of hopeless. After eating breakfast and sharing a few giggles with Carter, it became clear that I couldn't let an ugly sky ruin my day. So, I dressed for brightness using pastels and rhinestone-covered flats and a pair of bright pink lips! Carter was easier to dress since he looks handsome in anything! We stopped by a bakery to pick up some cupcakes, the dollar store to pick up some St. Patty's Day hats (just for fun), and had pho for lunch! We turned our Saturday around and it was quite fabulous if you ask me. Hope your day is just as wonderful! xo!
