A foodie's New Years Eve

It may be the 24th day of 2012 already but the ambitious New Years vibe is far from gone. I love that a new year reminds us that there is always a chance for new beginnings. And 2012, for myself, marks filling my life with more happiness. I am not referring to the joy you get from buying an expensive car or a dreamy upholstered bed (even though I'll secretly leave that one on my wish list). Instead I'd like to indulge in family, my faith, and just seeing and experiencing the world. So, to start of a year of fullness, we celebrated over a peaceful dinner and wine. And of course we stuffed ourselves with my homemade English trifle! Frankly, that was my favorite part! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves!

What to take from this post: Cooking and baking with family is underrated! Pick out any recipe, grab a family member or a friend, and cook up a storm!
